S'pore MMA darling Angela Lee retains ONE Championship title after bout with Taiwan's Jenny Huang

After three rounds of exchanging blows, Singapore's Angela "Unstoppable" Lee retained her ONE Women's Atomweight World Championship title with a technical knock out win over Taiwan's Jenny Huang in Thailand last week (Mar 11).

Held at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Lee overwhelmed Huang from the beginning of the bout, peppering her with a volley of punches, elbows and knees. Huang tried her best to stand her ground, but was overwhelmed by Lee's ferocity.

By the middle of the third round, the champion had the challenger pinned down on the mat as Lee unleased ground-and-pound to earn the stoppage.

Lee, who is of Singaporean and Korean descent, said: "Well I have had some time to work (on the striking) because I haven't fought in a while, so it feels really great. It feels like I'm back home here in the One Championship cage.

"It feels amazing, I cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. Thank you guys for coming out.

"I have to say thank you to my opponent Jenny for being such a courageous warrior. She brought out the best in me."
