Residents living in Melbourne, Australia were warned for the second time in over the month of human poo water.
They were warned to avoid 35 beaches in the Port Philip bay region yesterday (Feb 7) because there was post-heavy rainfall influx of human faecal matter.
According to Mashable via AsiaOne, the stinky incident is a result of a huge amount of rain falling on Mon (Feb 6) which drained all of the city's catchments into the ocean.
The water quality right now is in inhospitable levels.
EPA group manager Dr Anthony Boxshall told The Age, "It's gastro that we're worried about and infections."
"If someone had an open wound on their hand, you can get pathogens."
