Receipt of diners' $25,000 meal at KL restaurant sets Internet abuzz

What was the most you have paid for a meal?

Well, regardless of how much you have paid, it will probably will not come close to what some diners apparently paid for their meal on May 10.

According to Place and Foods, a group of 12 people recently paid RM78,478 (S$25,396) for a meal at a fine dining restaurant in Kuala Lumpur.

The receipt of their expensive course was posted on social media, leaving netizens shocked and bewildered.

If you scrutinised the receipt, you'll realise that the price for food in general is quite decent for a fine dining restaurant.

The hefty cost was actually due to a few items like premium wine, champagne, Tomahawk steak and caviar.

It is unclear where the group dined at, but World of Buzz has speculated that it is from Marble 8, one of Kuala Lumpur's most popular fine dining restaurants, due to the phone number on the receipt.
