Man in China who drove into river shows why we should not always trust our GPS

Sometimes, it is better to trust your instincts than technology.

A driver in Anhui, China, found his way into a river on Apr 1 while looking at directions on his GPS system.

Photos featured on Shanghaiist show the dude's white car partially submerged in the water.

Police were alerted to the accident and had to mobilise recovery vehicles.

It took half a day for specialists to remove the the poor man's car.

The driver has said that he was not familiar with the roads, and admitted that he was blindly looking at the GPS on his vehicle.
