Man in China lets people hit him with bamboo cane to raise money for son's operation

Fan Fugui is a father of a 1-year-old child who was diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy.

If the child did not undergo surgery, he ran the risk of getting blind. 

Unfortunately, Fan did not have the money to pay for the operation.

The man decided to take to the streets and offered to let people hit him with a bamboo cane for money, reported Acid Cow. 

Instead of hitting him however, people donated to his cause.

The caring father managed to raise more than $20,000 for his son's operation thanks to kind-hearted donors.
