Fake candy snatched up by greedy Shanghai Disneyland visitors -- despite being inedible

For some people, it is impossible to resist freebies -- even if they have absolutely no use for the items.

Photos circulating on Weibo show how a basket full of candy held by a Donald Duck statue at Shanghai Disneyland had mysteriously dwindled over time.

The stash had presumably been snapped up by greedy guests.

While the colourfully-wrapped candy might have looked visually pleasing, they are fake and cannot be eaten.

"It doesn't matter if it's fake. If they were offering free faeces, then there would still be some who would want a bite," said one Weibo user.
