34-year-old Korean mother of 3 dies of heart attack after returning to 12-hour work days

A 34-year-old woman, who is a working mother with three children, suffered a heart attack and died in her office in South Korea.

According to The Straits Times, she was an elite employee who had passed the highest category of the highly competitive civil service entrance examinations.

Only one week before her death last month had the woman returned from maternity leave to work, where she clocked 12 hours each day.

Colleagues said that on the day of her tragic passing, she had been at the office at 5am so that she could finish early and then take care of her kids.

Instead, she suffered a heart attack and they never saw her alive again.
