Reckless driver turns onto Bt Timah Rd despite oncoming traffic

A Stomper was appalled to see a driver who drove onto the main road without first checking for oncoming traffic.

In the video taken by the Stomper’s in-vehicle dashcam, taken on Tuesday evening (Mar 13), the Stomper’s vehicle is travelling down Bukit Timah Road near KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

As his vehicle approaches the CTE exit, one of the cars waiting to turn out onto the main road turns out, heedless of the Stomper’s oncoming vehicle.

The Stomper has to brake abruptly due to the reckless actions of the silver car with licence plate SGX8309Z.

To the Stomper’s annoyance, the silver car then brakes twice before moving off.

The Stomper then keeps a safe distance behind the car, which brakes a few more times in the middle of the road.

Said the Stomper in a phone interview:

“I think he did it on purpose.

“He saw my car coming but still insisted on turning out. After he turned out, he braked.

“You can’t hear it in the video, but I horned at him and he braked again.

“This kind of driving behaviour is terrible and dangerous, especially since it was a rainy day.”
