P-plate driver of SLE6541Y, how can you turn when there is a red light at Thomson Rd?

Stomper Chong was driving home on Monday night (Feb 20) when he witnessed an errant driver flouting traffic rules along Thomson Road. 

The Stomper said that he was waiting behind an Audi with a P-plate at the junction to turn into Toa Payoh Rise. In spite of the red light, he said that the Audi continued to move forward slowly.

The driver eventually turned when there was no incoming traffic in the opposite direction.

Said the Stomper:

"We should check with the traffic police to see if this is the new standard of driving.

"Such action may result in accidents occurring if other drivers emulate his example."
