61-year-old man arrested for throwing pebbles at cars twice

The police have arrested a 61-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two separate cases of rash act whereby he allegedly tossed pebbles out of his moving vehicle, causing damages to two stationary cars.

On Nov 16, the police received reports from two vehicle owners stating that the rear windscreens of their vehicles had shattered for unknown reasons.

Their vehicles were parked along Foch Road and Desker Road when the incidents happened.  

Two days later on Nov 18, the man was arrested along Hougang Avenue 3. A bag of pebbles was found in his vehicle and seized as case exhibits.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had tossed pebbles out of his vehicle on several instances other than on Nov 16.

Investigations against the man are ongoing.

Any person found guilty of committing a rash act that endangers the life or personal safety of others faces up to six months' jail and a maximum fine of $2,500.
