If you wake up feeling ravenous, imagine how a carnivorous monitor lizard feels.

Stomper Hwa Sin was at Block 424 Tampines Street 41 when he saw a monitor lizard in the waters at Sungei Tampines today (Mar 12) at 8.48am.

"I saw a monitor lizard chowing down on his big breakfast, said Hwa Sin.

"The fish was more than half a metre long.

"The lizard sure looked like it was having fun with its meal.

"I didn't know that there are such big fish in the canal."
