Love Story: I found my BF online despite not trusting dating apps

Casey was always wary about online dating and proceeded with caution when she joined online dating app Meow!

She met her boyfriend Darren on the app and was lucky he did not turn out to be a 'fraud' or 'scammer'.

The couple have been happily together for three years now and although their story is not a fairy tale, their love is strong.

This is her entry for Stomp's Valentine's Day Love Story contest:

"We got to know each other through a dating app.

"At first I really didn't trust online dating but he made me have confidence in him and trust him too.

"I'm so lucky that he turned out not to be a 'fraud' or 'scammer'.

"After several months, we chatted and discovered we had mutual interests.

"Then we planned to meet each other for the first time and on his birthday too.

"On our first date, he was caring and passionate towards me and was exactly how I imagined him to be.

"After several dates with him, he didn't disappoint me and confessed his love to me.

"Then, we start to deepen our love, meeting with each other's parents, joining family gatherings and travelling together.

"Now, we have been together for three years and counting.

"I feel our love is getting stronger with our memories, fighting and inside jokes.

"Lastly I want to say that love isn't perfect.

"It isn't a fairy tale or a storybook, and it doesn't always come easy.

"Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go.

"Love is work, but most of all, love is realizing that every hour, every minute, every second of it is worth it because we did it together."
