The Tiger isn't out of the Woods yet: Golf legend arrested for drink driving in Florida

Golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested for drink driving in Florida on Memorial Day (May 29) at around 7.18am local time and was released after a few hours.

The 41-year-old athlete was taken in by police on Military Trail Jupiter for Drinking after the Influence (DUI) at around 3am, reports Unilad.

The police also released a mugshot of Woods, looking visibly unkempt.

Woods had recently undergone a back surgery in April.

In relation to the incident, Woods had released an official statement, claiming that no alcohol was involved and that his condition had arisen from unexpected reaction to the medications he was prescribed.

Said Woods:

“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
