Reckless cyclist would have been hit by car -- if not for guy's 'fantastic driving'

A reckless cyclist who crossed the road when the traffic lights were not in his favour narrowly avoided getting hit by a car thanks to its driver's alertness.

In a video posted on Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road, Kenneth Haw, the driver who recorded what happened, can be first seen driving his car on the second lane of a three-lane road on May 14 at around 7pm.

He then approached a junction and the green lights were in his favour.

As he was about to drive across the junction, a cyclist suddenly emerged from his right.

Kenneth's vision was blocked by another car and was unable to see the cyclist on the onset.

However, he was still able to press on his brakes in time after the cyclist appeared.

The cyclist rode away thereafter without stopping to apologise.
