ofo bikes thrown in garbage bin, painted black is further proof that we don't deserve nice things

What started out as an innovative and novel idea for cycling enthusiasts has resulted in the shared ofo bicycles being kept for one's own personal use or vandalised and ruined so that others can no longer ride it.

Stomp was alerted to two postings on the Love Cycling SG Facebook page, showing one ofo bicycle dumped in a garbage bin and another that had been spray-painted black.

It is unclear when and where both incidents happened.

They are not isolated cases, either.

Previously, Stomp received reports of an ofo bike that had been thrown in a canal at Yishun Avenue 4 and another one at Toa Payoh Lorong 6 that was painted white.
