Got a call telling you you've won Singapore Airlines tickets? It's a scam

If something sounds too good to be true, it always almost is.

There have been contests, emails and calls claiming to be from Singapore Airlines informing recipients that they have won free air tickets before proceeding to request for their personal data.

Singapore Airlines posted an advisory on their Facebook page today (May 25) advising their customers to "exercise discretion when revealing personal data to unverified sources".

They added:

"These websites, emails and calls should be verified if in doubt.

"Please send us details on our social media channels or via this link http://singaporeair.com/en_UK/feedback-enquiry/ and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

"Singapore Airlines also wishes to advise customers to be cautious of social media posts and phishing websites that appear similar to our official website singaporeair.com.
