Eatery at Ang Mo Kio MRT station has hungry midnight visitor

Stomper Tay spotted a rat scurrying around an eatery within Ang Mo Kio MRT station at around 12.30am on Apr 25.

According to him, this is not the first time that rodents have been spotted in the area and continue to exist despite pest control measures.

Added the Ang Mo Kio resident:

"Residing in Ang Mo Kio, I have to make use of the MRT service every day. Sometimes I will return late just before closing hours and I will patronise the outlet to get some confectionery.

"The rodent issue was first noticed towards the end of last year. NEA has been notified several times and they have carried out some pest control work.

"However, the problem was not resolved and in fact, it became even more serious.

"The rodents do not only pose hygiene issues. They could also be disruptive if they happen to chew on the MRT cables.

"Hopefully this creates awareness to the authorities and solves the problem once and for all."
