Crossing less than 20m away, but uncle rides wheelchair across traffic

A man on an electric wheelchair almost caused an accident after shooting across traffic, even though there was a pedestrian crossing less than 20m away.

A clip of the incident was shared on Roads.sg by Facebook user Terence Yong.

The video shows a driver travelling down the road near the Communicable Disease Centre.

He is forced to jam on the brakes when he sees a man on his electric wheelchair shooting across the road.

Roads.sg pointed out that there was a pedestrian crossing less than 20m away, which made the man's actions even more perplexing.
