BMW goes up in flames at Pioneer Road North

A BMW went up in flames at Pioneer Road North, towards PIE, at about 9.35am yesterday (Apr 22).

Stomper Ed saw the blaze from afar and sent photos and videos of the incident to Stomp.

The Stomper also saw Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) personnel at the scene.

"Kudos to the speedy response from the SCDF and SPF," said the Ed.

"The scene was in order and the fire was put out in minutes."

"No one was injured."

In response to Stomp's queries, SCDF said that it was alerted to the fire at 9.35am and dispatched one fire engine and one red rhino to the location.

"The fire involved the engine compartment of a vehicle," said the SCDF spokesperson.

"The fire was extinguished by the SCDF using one hose reel," added the spokesperson.
