Yishun woman who splashed soapy water at neighbour's door calls police -- but gets arrested instead

In an ironic twist, a Yishun resident was arrested for disorderly behaviour after she called the police, accusing her neighbour of harassment.

The incident reportedly happened at Block 162, Yishun Street 11, on Sunday (Aug 27) at 11.45pm.

The 44-year-old woman, identified by Shin Min Daily News as Madam Fu, had accused her neighbour Madam Lin, of littering at her doorstep, knocking her door in the middle of the night, and sending ‘senseless and disgusting’ messages.

However, she was caught splashing soapy water at Madam Lin’s door on the closed-circuit cameras installed outside the unit.

According to The Straits Times, when Madam Fu called the police on Sunday, she was arrested instead after she became uncooperative and shouted at the officers.

In response to media queries, a police spokesman said that a 44-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly behaviour.

Police investigations are ongoing.
