Why this kopitiam along Killiney Road is Stomper's favourite coffee shop

A coffee shop located along Killiney Road is Stomper Coffee Addict's go-to place for lunch whenever he is in the area, but it's more than the food that draws him in.

Besides nourishing his stomach, Coffee Addict feels that Killiney Kopitiam provides "good spiritual nourishment" as well.

He said: "At most lunch times when I am in town, I will usually make a beeline for this coffee shop along Killiney Road.

"I will order my usual mee siam and a glass of ice cold soya bean milk.

"After lunch, I will rest for a while and let my eyes wander all over the wall.

"I am glad that this coffee shop not only provides physical food, but also good spiritual nourishment thrown in for free.

"An English poster reads: 'Married life is very frustrating. In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens. In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens. In the third year, they both speak and the neighbours listen.'

"Take all these with a pinch of salt and on further contemplation, you will find that these statements do contain a modicum of truth, good for the spirit and the soul."
