What kind Malaysian police officer did after getting approached by homeless man

A Malaysian police officer became the Internet’s latest hero after news of him helping a homeless man came to light.

The 36-year-old homeless man, Johan Iskandar Dean Salter, had walked for 3.5 km from a homeless shelter near Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Sunday night (Jun 25) to the Setapak Police Station, where Chief Assistant Superintendent Wee Bee Seng was stationed, reports The Star Online

When the police officer came to know of the man’s plight, he did more than just allow him to stay.

He also gave him some money and even put him up at a nearby motel for the next three days.

Said Bee Seng:

“He (Johan) told me he walked from there to the police station and asked to stay the night and would leave in the morning to look for a job.

“He also said he had not eaten so we gave him some food.

“We also gave him some money and put him up at a budget motel for the next three nights.

“Hopefully, this will lighten his burden until he finds a job.”

Sometimes all it takes is a little time and money to change someone’s life forever.
