If you have received a WhatsApp message claiming that "new legislation passed in Parliament" rules that anyone caught using a mobile phone while driving will lose their driver's licence for three months, dismiss it.
The message, which has been going viral on chat apps, is false.
It claims that anyone using mobile phones while driving, or while the engine is running, will lose their driver's licence on the spot for three months.
