Stomper Old citizen was at a rally organised by the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) yesterday night (Apr 29) when he noticed a familiar figure.

The rally, held at a field along Bukit Batok Industrial Park A, saw several speakers including SDP secretary-general Chee Soon Juan taking the stage.

The Stomper, who apparently saw controversial 17-year-old blogger Amos Yee at the event, said:

"The residents came from far and afield. They came in cars, motorcycles, motorised bicycles and wheelchairs.

"Parents brought their kids to listen to the politicians though they were too young to understand the speeches.

"However, it was a carnival time for families as they all came to listen to Dr Chee Soon Juan, Dr Paul Thambyah and the other speakers.

"Blogger Amos Yee was there to lend his support to the SDP."

In March 2016, online reports said that Amos Yee had been missing for at least three months. His mother Mary Toh was believed to have made an appeal for his whereabouts on Facebook.

Yee was later rumoured to be in Melbourne, Australia after a photo reportedly showing him in the city started circulating online.

In response to the photo, Yee said in a tweet dated Apr 10: "That is totally me. That is totally taken after I went on the run. And that is totally Melbourne."
