Tyres and rims stored in service ducts of Clementi HDB removed by town council

Some tyres and rims have been left in the service ducts of Block 419 Clementi Avenue 1.

Stomper M told Stomp that the items have been stashed away at multiple floors since seven to eight months ago. 

He said:

“This is a rental block, and there are elderly residents staying here, so these items can be fire safety hazards.

“What if they started burning? “

In response to a Stomp query, a Jurong-Clementi Town Council spokesman said:

“We have conducted an inspection this morning at the said service duct of Block 419 Clementi Avenue 1.

“The tyres and rims could be left there after someone changed the tyres of his/her car at the multi-storey carpark (Block 416A), which is in the proximity. We have removed the tyres and other items inside the service duct.”
