The driver of a Singapore-registered Subaru was caught on camera attempting to carjack another car with a Singapore licence plate on Aug 26.

Stomper Tan alerted Stomp to a video posted on Fabrications About The PAP's Facebook page with a caption saying that the incident allegedly happened at Taman Mount Austin in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

In the video, the Subaru driver parks in front of the Honda and gets out to inspect it.

After that, he gets back into his car to get something before coming out again to try to open the car door on the driver's side.

After some effort, he finally manages to open the car door and gets inside to open the bonnet.

He is then seen looking underneath the bonnet before getting back into the Honda when the video ends.

It is unknown what happened thereafter but according to the contributor, Seline, the owners of the Honda gave chase when the driver of the Subaru used a fire extinguisher on them.
