Student in China escapes rapist -- by pretending to be prostitute

A high school student in China was walking home alone after school when a man tried to sexually assault her -- but her quick thinking led to her escape and the perpetrator's arrest.

CCTV footage of the incident, which occurred last Thursday night (June 15), has been circulating online.

According to Chinapress via World Of Buzz, the girl had taken a dimmer route instead of the brightly-lit main road when the man suddenly attacked her.

The ensuing struggle caused both of them to fall onto the ground, during which the man tried to remove the victim's pants.

However, she did not panic and instead said, "Calm down, I am actually working as a prostitute, I have a place we can go to."

The man then stopped his assault and told the girl to lead the way.

When she saw that her attacker was not paying attention, the girl escaped and went to the police station to make a report. She could even describe the man's attire.

Police later arrested the suspect, 25-year-old Zhang, at an internet cafe.

He admitted that he had been drunk and was looking for some excitement when he spotted the girl.

Investigations are ongoing.
