Sizzling hot! Meet the new F4 and Shancai in Meteor Garden TV reboot

Taiwanese hit drama Meteor Garden will be getting a reboot, 16 years after its premiere.

The new cast, with a bunch of fresh faces as the leads, was officially revealed on stage at a press conference in Shanghai, reported AsiaOne.

Chinese newbie actress Shen Yue, 20, is starring as strong-willed student Shancai, originally played by Barbie Hsu.

The F4 hunks will be made up of Taipei native Darren Chen playing Huazelei), as well as Chinese actors Dylan Wang (Daoming Si), Connor Leong (Meizuo), and Caesar Wu (Ximen).

The four actors are all 21 years old and stand at an average height of 1.85 metres.

It is said that no expense has been spared for this reboot, whose creator is the same as the original series.
