Buses seem to end up in the most unlikely places this week, as this time an SBS Transit bus crashed into the fence of a tennis court at Yio Chu Kang.

Stompers Doreen, Keith, Nurul, MHR, Adik and Elaine all witnessed the incident yesterday (Sep 30).

Doreen said at about 7pm:  "A public SBS bus just crashed into the tennis court of the tennis Centre, next to Yio Chu Kang bus interchange, which is located under Yio Chu Kang MRT station."

MHR said:

"The fence separates the interchange and tennis court.

"Luckily there's no one playing tennis at that particular court on that time. Unsure how it happen.

"Maybe the driver wanted to challenge the SMRT Bus that got stuck in the middle of the field."

Ms Tammy Tan, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at SBS Transit responded to the incident:

"We take this accident seriously. We are investigating the matter and will take remedial action.

"We are thankful that no one was on the tennis court and no passengers were on board at that time. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
