Yet another train delay due to track fault on Circle Line, the third time in 3 days

Commuters travelling on the Circle Line were held up today due to a track fault this morning (Aug 31), in what is the third related incident this week.

Stomper Eric was at Bishan MRT Station at 8.30am and recounted what he saw to Stomp:

"Staff closed off the escalators and stairs to direct passengers on a longer route to the platform.

"An announcement said that both routes will expect delayed and extended waiting time due to a track fault."

SMRT tweeted their last update at 10.09am, informing commuters to expect an additional 5 minutes of waiting time between Caldecott and Harbour Front stations on the Circle Line.

However, several Twitter users replied saying that they have been delayed closer to 30 minutes instead.
