Watch how 12-year-old taking PSLE struggles with stress and fear of disappointing her parents

Twelve-year-old Zihui is under immense pressure to do well in her exams and get into a top school, but the cost is proving to be too high.

Titled 'PSLE-GO', this short film by Stanley Yap set in Singapore, features two 12-year-olds, Zihui and Justin, who are sitting for their year-end Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). 

It is a stressful time and Zihui is having serious trouble coping. Despite her parents’ support, her fear of disappointing them is overwhelming.

Justin knows that Zihui is not herself but can he convince the adults that his friend is crumbling before it is too late?

The short film helps to raise awareness about the high expectations Singapore's kids have to deal with these days.
