67-year-old man sent to hospital after crashes into tree at Toa Payoh Lor 8

Stomper Chan spotted a taxi that had collided with a tree at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 yesterday (Apr 27) at around 3pm.

She had been on a bus and noticed many people running towards the taxi.

Facebook user Wong Wengwah shared a photo of the accident on the Singapore Taxi Driver Facebook page, showing tree branches over the vehicle's bonnet.

A man clad in red can also be seen speaking with the cabby.

Stomper Chan added, "Too many accidents have happened lately, especially those involving taxis."

in response to media queries by Stomp, a Police spokesperson said:

"On 27th April 2017 at 2.47pm, the Police were alerted to an accident involving a car and a taxi along Toa Payoh Lorong 8.

"A 67-year-old man was conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Investigations are ongoing."
