Spider defeats snail and wins lunch after tough fight during 'battle of Toa Payoh'

Stomper Lau Lap came across an unusual sight at Toa Payoh on Friday (Jan 20) at around 12pm.

He sent Stomp a video of what he saw via WhatsApp. In the video, a spider can be seen having a tussle with a snail over food.

At the beginning of the video, both creatures can be seen nibbling on a woodlouse at the same time.

They then began to try and remove the crustacean from each other's mouths.

Towards the end of the video, it was clear that the spider was going to emerge victorious. 

It eventually snatched its meal away from the snail, leaving the latter helpless and probably.
