Pokemon GO fever is not over: Players cause traffic congestion along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3

Submitted by Stomper Anba

If you thought the Pokemon GO craze has finally died down, you could not be further away from the truth.

Stomper Anba alerted Stomp to a traffic congestion along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 to Serangoon North at 11.30pm yesterday (Dec 14) due to drivers stopping to catch Pokemon.

Said the Stomper:

"Many vehicles were stopped with the hazard lights on.

"The vehicles blocked two lanes and caused unnecessary jam to other drivers.

"Some were running out of their cars with their smartphones trying to catch rare Pokemon.  I also realised a female driver who was driving next to my car was holding on to her phones with the Pokemon GO app opened."

Pokemon GO fever may be here to stay, and players are best advised to pay attention on the road, and not use their phones, especially when driving.
