New year new notes: Grab them all from Jan 11 onwards

New notes will be available for customers of POSB from next Wednesday (Jan 11), in preparation for Chinese New Year.

According to a statement from the bank, customers will be able to reserve their new notes online from Monday (Jan 9) onwards. They can select their preferred collection dates at all full-service branches. 

The Singapore bank is introducing new initiatives for customers, including new notes pop-up ATMs at more locations.

From Jan 11 onwards, customers will be able to withdraw new notes at 41 POSB new notes pop-up ATMs located in 22 community clubs.

This year, all pop-up ATMs will operate 24 hours daily, with the exception of the ones located at Chong Pang and Toa Payoh West, which will be available from 9am to 10pm daily.

POSB added that ambassadors will be on hand to guide customers at the various pop-up ATM locations from Jan 11 to 27. 

Customers will be able to use their DBS/POSB ATM card to withdraw new notes in amounts of $100, $300 and $500, up to their individual card limit.

e-Dollar Ang Pow service for staff

The bank has also launched a new e-Dollar Ang Pow service for staff.

Available via online reservation, each e-Dollar Ang Pow will be available in $8 or $10 denominations with a QR code at the back.

According to POSB, the recipient can scan the code to get the amount instantly credited to his or her DBS PayLah! wallet.
