Motorists help driver get out of truck that crashed into road divider on KPE tunnel

Motorists came forward to help a tipper truck driver who had crashed his vehicle into a road divider in a tunnel on the KPE at around 10.55am today (May 29).

Stomper Faizal sent Stomp a video showing what happened that he had received on WhatsApp.

In the video, the truck can be seen tipped to its left side over the metal road divider.

Three people were checking on the driver of the huge vehicle and helping him out of the front seat. He looked to be in a daze but did not seem to be seriously injured.

Said an SCDF spokesperson in response to a Stomp query:

"SCDF was alerted at about 10.55am and dispatched one fire engine, one firebike and one ambulance. 

"One male Chinese in his 60s was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. 

"The hospital was alerted to be on standby to receive him."
