According to SoShiok, McDonald's Singapore is currently investigating a complaint by a customer who apparently found white worms crawling inside his Big Breakfast set meal on Tuesday morning (Oct 20).

In the video that IT freelancer Jasper Lee took, white worms were supposedly seen crawling on top of the sausage patty.

Mr Lee believes the worms originated from the scrambled eggs.

Ms Patricia Yong, McDonald's Singapore's director of operations, said in a statement to AsiaOne that the company is in contact with Mr Lee and they "are looking into this matter very closely".

AsiaOne understands that McDonald's is still trying to establish the facts of the matter.

Ms Yong told AsiaOne: "Food quality and safety are our top priority and we take all customer feedback very seriously. We have been in contact with the customer and are looking into this matter very closely. At the moment, we are doing everything we can to establish the facts of the matter."

Lee, 27, made a complaint through the fast food chain's online feedback form.

He ordered the food via the McDelivery service at around 7.15am. The order was delivered an hour later from an outlet near his place at Block 208, Hougang Street 21.
