Two people were sent to hospital after a lorry driver went against traffic and bulldozed at least five vehicles in its way along Loyang Flyover yesterday night (Apr 20).

Stomper Eric, who filmed a video of the incident, said it occurred at around 10pm.

The clip shows how a bus narrowly avoided a collision with the lorry, while the latter pushed several other cars out of its way.

He told Stomp in a phone interview:

"The traffic light had already turned red for the lorry driver who was going towards the expressway, but he lost control and crashed into oncoming traffic.

"I don't think there were any injuries."

In response to media queries by Stomp, a Police spokesperson said:

"The police were alerted to an accident involving a lorry, a taxi and four cars at the junction of Loyang Avenue and the Tampines Expressway (TPE).

"A 55-year-old male car driver and his 43-year-old female passenger were conscious when conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
