'Friendly' gantry arm waves at passing driver after getting dislodged at Pending Rd carpark

Stomper Raven came across a rather amusing sight at 11pm yesterday (Mar 21) at a carpark along Pending Road in Bukit Panjang.

In a video the Stomper sent, a dislodged gantry arm can be seen 'waving' at a white car that was leaving the car park, as if it was thanking the driver for using its premises.

The gantry arm was bent outwards toward the pedestrian walkway, probably as a result of an accident.

It was not completely blocking the exit like what it was designed to do.

Said about the unusual sight:

"Need some assistance here, the gantry arm is not straight!

"It is time to get a replacement, it may cause inconvenience to the pedestrians if it falls off."
