Female cyclist dies after beating red light and getting hit by car at Woodlands

A woman has died after getting knocked down by a car at a traffic junction in Woodlands on August 15 at 7am.

A video of the accident was uploaded on Roads.sg's Facebook page.

From the video, it is clear that the motorist had the right of way from the green light.

The cyclist must have been trying to beat the red light from the adjacent road.

The impact was enough to send the cyclist flying and she is then seen lying motionless on the road.

Roads.sg announced in the comments section that the victim has died: "No disrespectful comments, cyclist passed on at this accident. Relative contacted admin this evening. Admin will hide uncalled for comments. Our deepest condolences and may she RIP."
