Does this cyclist have a death wish riding on PIE during peak hour?

Stomper Jerry was driving along the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) when he saw a cyclist riding on the road shoulder before the Paya Lebar exit yesterday evening (May 2).

Jerry added that it was during peak hour traffic at around 6pm.

Cyclists are prohibited from riding on expressways according to road traffic laws here.

It is unclear if the cyclist realised how much danger he was putting himself in doing something so reckless.

He also did not appear to be wearing a helmet.

At one point, a motorcyclist got dangerously close to the guy's bicycle but thankfully no accident happened.

"Cyclists should be educated on traffic regulations too," suggested Jerry.
