Stomper R alerted Stomp to an e-bike that was left to charge using an electrical socket that cannot be used by the public without prior authorisation by officials.

In a telephone interview, the Stomper said the incident happened at Block 105 in Jalan Bukit Merah.

Photos sent by the Stomper show an extension port plugged into the socket inside a metal box that had the words 'for authorised use only' inscribed on it.

The e-bike was plugged into the extension port and left to charge on the corridor of the 12th storey.

Said the Stomper:

"This has been happening two or three times in the last three months.

"The owner cannot do that unless he has authorisation.

"The box is usually locked but I think the owner has figured out how to open it."

R believes that the e-bike owner is a resident staying at Block 105.
