60-year-old man sustains head and arm injuries after getting assaulted in his shop at Cambridge Road

A 49-year-old man suspected of assault was arrested on Tuesday (March 28).

Police said it received a report that the suspect was attacking a shop owner at Cambridge Road on March 25 afternoon.

The 60-year-old owner of a second-hand goods shop suffered injuries to his head and left arm.

The attacker then fled the scene.

The suspect was arrested at Spooner Road on Tuesday.

Investigations are ongoing, police said.

Anyone convicted of causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means can be jailed up to seven years, fined, and/or caned.
