School bus driver nearly causes accident with illegal turn at Bishan junction

Stomper Lim was taken off guard when the driver of a school bus made an illegal right turn at the junction of Bishan Road and Bishan Street 22 on Jun 24, missing his car by centimetres.

Lim had been waiting for the right turn arrow to turn green when the white school bus appeared on his left to make the turn.

The bus driver was in a straight only lane.

The driver's action caused the Stomper to slam on his brakes to avoid an accident.

"The bus driver is very inconsiderate and unmindful of his road manners thus committing an offence," said Lim.

He caught the incident on his car camera but cannot see the driver's licence plate number clearly enough to make a police report.

"I am totally disgusted with his actions and dangerous driving," said the Stomper.

"He has totally no regard for safety and also violated traffic rules and regulations endangering other motorists behind him and also causing distress and
alarm towards me.

"His driving manners and ethics should be dealt with severely."
