Three people were injured after a collision with a lorry along the Tampines Expressway (TPE) on Saturday (April 28).

Stomper HMK alerted Stomp to a video of the accident that has been circulating on WhatsApp.

In the video, the lorry driver appears to lose control of his vehicle and swerves to the right of the expressway.

The sudden action causes one motorcyclist to fall and hit the lorry in an apparent attempt to avoid it and another rider to crash head-on into the vehicle, causing him to be flung off his motorcycle.

Other motorists are seen stopping by the side of the road to offer assistance to the accident victims.

In response to Stomp's media queries, a police spokesman said that they were alerted to an accident at 5.53pm involving a lorry, a car and two motorcycles along the TPE towards Seletar Expressway, after the Punggol Road exit.

"A 39-year-old motorcyclist and his pillion rider, a 41-year-old woman were conscious when conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital," the spokesman said.

"The other motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man, was conscious when conveyed to the same hospital."

Police investigations are ongoing.
