Received video of excavator crash along KPE said to have happened yesterday? It actually took place in September

A WhatsApp video circulating widely yesterday (Oct 25) shows the dramatic moment when the excavator on the back of a trailer flipped over after hitting a height limit bar before the Sims Avenue entrance of the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).

Stompers Ah Boy and Karthik alerted Stomp to the WhatsApp video.

The video was also posted on the Roads.SG Facebook page where it went viral, garnering over 1,000 shares. This led many to believe that the incident happened yesterday. 

According to the Land Transport Authority, the accident is not new and had actually occurred last month on Sept. 28, at around 10am.
