Pregnant Stomper says she was kicked in stomach by friend who had affair with BF, both arrested

Stomper H and a former friend, A, got into a scuffle at the void deck of Block 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 on Thursday afternoon (May 24)  when H accused A of having an affair with her then-boyfriend, whose child she is pregnant with.

The two women were subsequently arrested for affray after being discovered by police officers on a patrol. 

H told Stomp that she had been with her boyfriend for about a year, and she is currently four months pregnant with his child.

The two were originally intending to get married before the incident. 

However, she found out last Thursday that he had been cheating with one of her friends, A, behind her back.

H said that she and A have been friends for a long time.

“We used to hang out quite a lot.

“I met her through some friends, and we used to be quite close.”

H is unsure how long her boyfriend had been seeing A, but said that she came to know about the affair through a mutual friend whom she shares with A.

Apparently, A had sent screenshots of her conversation with H’s boyfriend to the mutual friend, who then forwarded it to H.

When H found out about the affair, she called her boyfriend immediately but he allegedly denied the affair. 

She later called A but she too denied seeing H’s boyfriend behind her back.

Following the call, H called the mutual friend who was in the middle of a call with A herself.

A had realised that the mutual friend was the one who sent H screenshots of her conversations with H’s boyfriend and reportedly called to confront him.

Unbeknownst to her, the mutual friend had turned on the speaker and allowed H to listen to their conversation.

While chiding the friend for siding with H, A also revealed that H’s boyfriend had called her and asked her to delete all messages between the two of them. 

He also allegedly asked her to 'back him up', and deny the affair altogether. 

After the call, the enraged H called A again and the two got into a heated argument, with A apparently admitting to the affair.

H said that A even taunted her, saying that it was not a ‘big deal’ and asked her what she was going to do about it.

The two then agreed to meet at a Housing and Development Board (HDB) block in Ang Mo Kio to settle the issue face to face.

During the meeting, H lost her temper and threw a bottle of water at A.

A then allegedly retaliated by kicking H in the stomach, causing H to fall to the ground.

H said that A continued kicking her womb until police officers arrived at the scene.

The police told Stomp that officers were conducting patrols in the vicinity when they came across a two woman in a dispute at Block 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. 

Two women, both 18, were arrested for affray and police investigations are ongoing. 

Stomp understands that both parties suffered minor injuries, and one of the suspects was a pregnant woman. 

Following the incident, H was sent to KK Women's and Children's Hospital for a checkup and police officers then took her statement there. 

Another mutual friend of A subsequently sent her the screenshots of her conversation with A, in which A apparently admitted to kicking H in the stomach during the fight on May 24.

Stomp checked with H and confirmed that messages were from the mutual friend and A, who address each other as 'bro'. 

Thankfully, the baby is unharmed, said H.

She added that she has broken up with her boyfriend since the incident but intends to keep her baby.
