Police looking for man in relation to case of bicycle theft at Ang Mo Kio

The police are looking for a man in relation to a case of Theft of Bicycle that took place on Jul 10 at Block 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5.

According to photos posted on the Ang Mo Kio South Neighbourhood Police Centre Facebook page, the man has dark skin and uses a cloth to cover his mouth.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Police hotline at 1800-255-0000 or submit information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness. All information will be kept strictly confidential.

From January to June this year, the police have received 19 reports of Theft of Bicycle in Ang Mo Kio.

They have advised cyclists to take the following crime prevention measures:

1. Make permanent identification marks such as engravings or affix the Bicycle Security Label.

2. Secure your bicycle at all times to a permanent structure with good locks with an alarm feature.

3. Keep your bicycle at home when you are not using it. If you need to park it at a public place, choose one with high human traffic and it well-lit, preferably with CCTV monitoring.
