Police investigating case of man allegedly stealing female underwear from Bukit Batok corridor

The police are investigating a case where a man reportedly took female underwear from laundry racks along the corridor of Block 106, Bukit Batok Central.

A spokesman told The Straits Times that the police were alerted to a case of dishonest misappropriation of property at said venue on Thursday (Feb 22), at 5.58pm.

According to The Straits Times, the man had taken a few brassieres and panties.

This is not the first time that the homeowner has lodged a report over stolen underwear.

On Friday (Feb 23), Facebook user Li Jianbin uploaded videos showing a man walking along a corridor.

The man approaches some racks where laundry are being aired, and goes through the clothes, before removing what appears to be underwear.

Jianbin also wrote in Mandarin that the incident happened at Bukit Batok Central.

He wrote:

“It's the fifth time this is happening at my home.

“I made a police report but he has not been caught. Therefore I'm posting this here in hopes that it will raise awareness. He takes only women's lace underwear.”

The postings have since been removed.

Police investigations are ongoing.
