Stomper Justine had just sat down at the alfresco dining area of Northpoint Shopping Centre's McDonald's outlet at around 5pm yesterday (Apr 27) when he witnessed the aftermath of an incident involving two men.

Said the Stomper:

"When we sat down, we saw a policeman interviewing a man wearing a white shirt. We overheard their conversation and understood that he had pushed a man wearing a yellow shirt. The man in yellow had spat on him.

"The shove caused the man in yellow to fall and he was on the ground.

"Another policeman came up to my friends and I, and asked us if we had witnessed the incident.

"There were about five security guards around, and the man in white appeared to be very calm.

"An ambulance came at around 5.50pm and the man in yellow was sent to the hospital."

A police spokesperson told Stomp that they were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing hurt at Northpoint Shopping Centre at 4.59pm, and the parties involved were advised on their legal recourse.

A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force also added that an ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and one person was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
